Meet Wine That’s Fruit: The Little Can Making a Big Change in Wine

Wine That’s Fruit (WTF) is shaking up the world of wine with the simple idea that great wine doesn’t have to come from grapes or glass bottles.

Meet Wine That’s Fruit: The Little Can Making a Big Change in Wine

Founded in Herefordshire, this family-run brand crafts refreshing, sulphite-free fruit wines designed for modern, on-the-go wine lovers who care about quality, convenience, and sustainability.

From Orchard to Can – Crafted the Fresh Way

Each can of WTF starts with locally grown fruit – apples, strawberries, blackcurrants, and whitecurrants, all hand-picked in Herefordshire orchards. The wines are produced by Haygrove Evolution, a respected local manufacturer, then canned in Manchester by Can-It, and distributed nationwide from FuturePro Logistics in Newbury.

This efficient, fully traceable supply chain keeps everything local and low-impact, supporting regional growers and reducing carbon emissions.

Unlike traditional wines, WTF’s fruit wines are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and completely sulphite-free. The brand uses a plant-based filtration process rather than animal-derived clarifiers like isinglass, ensuring every step aligns with its ethical and sustainable philosophy. And by skipping sulphites and artificial additives, WTF keeps its wines naturally fresh, clean, and full of authentic flavour.

Why a Can? Because Sustainability Matters

When setting up WTF, the founders did extensive research to find the most eco-friendly and practical packaging for their wines. Aluminium cans came out on top, not just for recyclability, but also for freshness and convenience.

Cans are lightweight, endlessly recyclable, and require 75% less energy to recycle than glass. They’re easier to transport, lowering carbon emissions across the supply chain, and they preserve wine better thanks to an airtight seal that prevents light degradation.

Whether it’s a picnic, a concert, or a quiet night at home, WTF’s 250ml slim cans make it easy to enjoy a glass of wine without waste – no corkscrew required.

A Vision for the Future

The brand aims to reach carbon net zero by 2025, combining innovation with environmental responsibility. Their mission goes beyond the drink itself – it’s about building an ethical, community-driven company that supports local producers.

With flavours like Cheeky Apple, bursting with crisp, autumnal notes, WTF’s range offers something for every occasion – refreshing, naturally made, and always a little cheeky.

A New Era of Wine

Wine That’s Fruit is part of a growing global shift toward ready-to-drink, low-impact beverages that blend convenience with conscience. By fusing modern packaging, clean-label production, and sustainable sourcing, WTF stands out as a future-ready brand in a traditionally slow-to-evolve category.

Wine That’s Fruit – it’s wine, but not as you know it 🍎
