The world doesn’t need another reusable cup. It needs a better one that people actually want to use every day. That idea sparked the beginning of topl, a UK brand that approached the category with a simple but revealing question: Why does every reusable cup feel like a compromise?

Founder Eleanor, working in sustainability and always on the move, had tried every cup out there: leaky lids, fiddly parts, awkward sipping, and coffee that never tasted quite right. So she teamed up with her dad, Stewart, a product designer, to create a reusable cup that simply worked.
After countless sketches and spilled coffees, topl was born: a brand producing intuitive, beautifully engineered reusables designed for real life.
topl redesigned the reusable cup from the ground up. Their patented 360° open-lip sip mimics a ceramic mug, allowing you to drink from any angle. A quick twist locks the lid completely – leakproof, backpack-proof, life-proof. Cleaning is another win: the lid breaks into just three simple parts, avoiding the hidden crevices that make traditional reusable lids frustrating to maintain.
The result is a reusable cup that feels effortless.
Inside every topl cup is built-in NFC technology, enabling rewards, tracking, and future integrations for cafés and workplaces. It turns a simple cup into a connected product designed not only for sustainability, but also for behavioural change.
topl cups are crafted from 90% recycled stainless steel with lids made from 50% recycled plastic, all responsibly sourced and ethically produced. Stainless steel was chosen for durability, heat retention, and the fact that it’s endlessly recyclable. Each cup follows ISO 14040/14044–aligned engineering principles and can be fully disassembled at end-of-life for proper recycling.
This is sustainability built into the design, not added as an afterthought.
topl believes behaviour change comes from products people love, not pressure or guilt. A reusable cup only reduces waste if it becomes a daily habit, which is why topl obsess over ease, comfort, and intuitive design. Their cups show up on desks, in backpacks, in cafés, in offices adopting reuse, and on the trails of people who don’t want to compromise.
topl cups fit the way people actually live: fast mornings, long commutes, travel, busy workdays. No leaks. No faff. No weird sipping angles. Just twist, sip, and go.
This is the kind of frictionless experience that makes reuse stick.
topl is still just getting started. With new designs in the pipeline and expanding partnerships across cafés and companies, they’re building the foundation for a refillable future – one where reuse is the default, not the exception.
