Founded in 2017 by Adam Hodgkinson and Patrick Mroczak, Bar1Brands set out to prove that vegan and gluten-free snacks can taste just as good as anything else on the shelf. Today, they’re the only manufacturer in the UK operating a dedicated vegan and gluten-free site, giving them a unique edge in a fast-growing sector.

Two Brands, One Direction

Bar1Brands develops products under two names:

• YuBi Bar – bright, protein-packed snacks designed for everyday energy.
• Jade & Joy – indulgent bars that balance function with flavour.

Since their launch at the end of 2022, these brands have grown rapidly, with sales up 300% in just a short time. And with new products on the way, their progress is set to continue.

A Sustainable Approach

Sustainability runs through every part of the Bar1Brands business. Ingredients are responsibly sourced, packaging is eco-friendly, and the facility is powered by solar energy. The site also operates on a zero-to-landfill policy. Even staff benefits reflect this mindset, with EV charging stations and a focus on creating a supportive workplace.

Strong Production Capabilities

As part of the Nutreelife family, Bar1Brands has direct access to a state-of-the-art BRC AA Grade accredited facility, along with its own warehouse and distribution centre. This setup allows the company to manage everything – from product development to delivery – in-house. The result is a smooth, reliable process and the flexibility to scale quickly.
