In recent years, the CBD market has been growing at an accelerated rate and this trend is predicted to continue. A unique collaboration between two seemingly disparate fields, craft beer and CBD, has resulted in the creation of one of the UK's first CBD-infused craft breweries, known as Cannabrew. Founded in 2019 by Elliot Horner, a former semi-professional rugby player who discovered the benefits of CBD for aches and pains, Cannabrew offers a flavorsome range of craft beer and cider with the added benefits of CBD. Suitable for vegans, they use the best brewing methods from the past to create an authentic beer that works for today.

However, Cannabrew isn't just about making great-tasting beer. The company is committed to sustainability, and this is evident in everything they do. They plant two trees in their company forest for every case of beer sold, resulting in over 20,000 trees planted so far. Cannabrew also offsets its staff's CO2 emissions by donating trees every month, thus increasing carbon dioxide absorption and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. This has led to a significant reduction in carbon emissions of over 17.18 tonnes.
The brewery is proud to be 100% plastic-free, using biodegradable and cornstarch-based materials instead. In addition, their vegan beer comes in glass bottles or aluminum cans, both of which can be recycled multiple times.
Cannabrew's commitment to sustainability goes beyond planting trees. They minimize waste by contributing to a circular economy in the local area, donating leftover hops and malts to farmers where it is often used for fertilizer and feed. They also support sustainability initiatives globally to minimize environmental impact and assist others worldwide in doing the same. Through its partnership with Ecologi, Cannabrew funds projects that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
