The award was judged by Jeremy Pang, chef and founder of School of Wok, who praised the product for its balance and depth of flavour:
“This is a lovely paste with the perfect texture where it really can be dipped, dolloped or spread over anything! It's delicious and I love the way you get little stages of layered flavour from the vinegar, the chillies, but most of all a great hit of garlicky aroma when you open the jar.”
